Home to the longest-standing accredited cooperative education program in the Atlantic region, every program has an internship, co-op or practicum opportunity attached. The university also offers a wide range of graduate programs, including the Master of Public Relations, the only one of its kind in Canada, and the PhD in Educational Studies, a joint initiative with Nova Scotia university partners. Across all of its programs, MSVU offers degrees with a difference, nurturing socially responsible global citizens by emphasizing social justice, and equity, diversity, inclusion and accessibility. Including several Canada Research Chairs and other named research chairs, MSVU is home to leading researchers improving lives across the life span. And both graduate and undergraduate students enjoy a number of advantages as research assistants uncommon at larger universities, working alongside professors who are experts in their fields (from Alzheimer’s disease, aging and neuroscience to food security, early childhood development, learning disabilities, and much more).
